Who am i?

Originating from Norfolk, England, Imi Ridley is a Medical Artist and Freelance Illustrator who has a wealth of experience in working for the Healthcare Industry around the UK. This includes clients ranging from the NHS as well as independent companies and univerisites within the medical education sector. Imi has been lucky enough to work alongside a number of UK and overseas leading surgeons and has produced clinical learning resources that are now being used on a national scale. 

Imi is a graduate of the Arts University College Bournemouth with a BA Hons Degree in Illustration. She is inspired by bio-communication and has a strong awareness of the relationship between art and science. Further on in her education, Imi has also completed a Masters Degree in Medical Art and Forensic Identification at the University of Dundee where she focused on developing her medical visualisation skills and expertise in anatomy. The university has enabled Imi to have exclusive access to  Theil-embalmed cadavers, along with surgical access to Ninewells Hospital were theoretical tuition was provided.

Currently, Imi is living in Exeter where she is working as a 3D Modeller and Deformation Artist for Bournemouth University on an Augmented Reality based medical education product.
